On this week’s podcast we review the new film Hobo with a Shotgun, the new downloadable game Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime and Andrew jumps in with a look at Hoard for the PSP.
Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime is a top down four player game where you play as part of a new crew of Ghostbusters who, well…, bust ghosts. The game is currently available on the Xbox Live Arcade, on PSN for the PlayStation 3 and for Windows.
Hobo with a Shotgun (17:57 – 35:12)
The original trailer for Hobo with a Shotgun was originally shown as one of several fake trailers, along with Machete, during screenings of Grindhouse. Fast forward a few years and now its evolved into a full length film starring Rutger Hauer. The film opened in Canada on March 25 but will be available via On Demand on April 1 and hits theaters in the US on May 6.
Hoard (35:30 – 41:44)
Andrew shares some thoughts on the downloadable game Hoard for the PSP. It’s developed by Vancouver’s Big Sandwich Games and is also available for the PS3, Windows and Mac.

Homefront takes place in 2027 when Korea has become a world super power and has invaded the United States. The first person shooter was developed by Kaos Studios and is available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows.
Hereafter (11:37 – 31:52)
The plot of Hereafter revolves around three different threads. One sees Matt Damon as a former psychic was is able to communicate with the dead while the other two involve a young boy whose twin brother has recently died and a French woman (Cécile de France) who has had a near death experience. The Clint Eastwood directed film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 15, 2011.

First off we take a look at the recent release of Torchlight on the Xbox 360. Developed by Runic Games, the game was originally released as a PC download in 2009. Some of us also had a chance to check out the PC version and compare with it with the experience on the Xbox.
Girl Walks into a Bar (23:40 – 50:22)
Girl Walks into a Bar is a unique film in that it is being released for free exclusively on YouTube. The film has a large ensemble cast including Carla Gugino, Zachary Quinto, Josh Hartnett ,Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Take a listen to our review to see if we think this could be a viable means for film makers to release their movies in the future.

Beyond Good and Evil HD is a remastered downloadable version of the original game originally released in 2003. The game was developed bu Ubisoft and is available on the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Based on the short story by Phillip K Dick, the Adjustment Bureau is a group whose job it is to ensure that events happen in order to coincide with their plans. Starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, the film is the directorial debut for screen writer George Nolfi.
BulletStorm (39:05 – 53:50)
Bulletstorm is a new first person shooter available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows. Developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games, the game rewards the player for coming up with new and creative ways to kill your targets.
