Directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg, Super 8 tells the story of a group of kids that are making their own zombie movie and inadvertently capture a train derailment on film. The story takes place in 1979 and also attempts to capture the essence of a number of 80′s films including ones directed by Spielberg himself.

Developed byVolition, Inc., Armageddon is the fourth game in the Red Faction series and the follow up to Red Faction: Guerrilla. It’s now 50 years later and you play as Darius Mason, grandson of Guerrilla’s protagonist, Alec Mason, who attempts to save the colonists of Mars from attacking Martian creatures.
Aban Hawkins & the 1000 SPIKES (43:06 – 55:50)
Developed by 8bits Fanatics, Aban Hawkins is an 8 bit indie game on the Xbox Live Arcade. The game sees you traverse various caves and attempt to avoid traps with 1000 lives (yup you heard me) at your disposal.
This week we take a look at the new HBO series Game of Thrones, the downloadable game, Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale and we go WAY back for an old classic, Super Metroid.

Based on the series of novels from author George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones is the latest series produced by HBO. The show premiered back in April and is expected to conclude it’s first season in June.

Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale is a new RPG downloadable game for the Xbox 360, PSN and for Windows. The game developed by Bedlam Games and published by Atari.
Super Metroid (31:55- 38:43)
A couple of episodes ago, Bill shamefully admitted to missing Super Metroid the first time around. So he takes a trip back to 1994 to check this classic out again, for the first time.

Set in 1940′s Los Angeles, L.A. Noire sees you take the role of Cole Phelps, a cop looking to rise up in the police force. The gameplay involves questioning suspects and looking for clues in order to solve and close your cases. The game is available on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
Gatling Gears (19:48 – 31:54)
Gatling Gears is a top down shooter that sees you riding around in a mech and shooting everything that moves and making things go boom. The game is developed by Vanguard Entertainment and published by EA. It is currently available on the Xbox Live Arcade and is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Network and for Windows.

Developed by Housemarque and published by Ubisoft, Outland is a 2D platformer that sees you switch between red and blue colors in order to combat enemies and avoid traps. The game is only available via download for the Xbox 360 but it will also soon be available on the PSN network.
