Kirby’s Epic Yarn is the first game in the Kirby series released for the Wii console. In this game Kirby finds himself in Patch Land; a world made up fabric and yarn that needs to be stitched back together.
Vampire Saga: Welcome to Hell Lock (17:13 – 33:14)
Vampire Saga: Welcome to Hell Lock is a new game for the PC developed by Alawar Entertainment. You’ve just crashed your motorcycle in a strange town and don’t know where, or who, you are. and you must search the town for clues to solve various puzzles. The game can be purchased over at the Alawar site and an demo is also available for download.
On this week’s podcast we review a pair of games, the newly released Puzzle Agent 2 and 3 on 3 NHL Arcade from a couple of years ago. We also look back at Torchwood season 3 entitled Children of Earth.
In Puzzle Agent 2, you are FBI Agent Nelson Tethers of the Department of Puzzle Research who returns to the scene of the first game, Scoggins, Minnesota, to tie up some loose ends left over from the first game. We looked at the Windows version of the game but it is also available for MAC, the iPhone and the iPad.
Torchwood – Children of Earth (20:19 – 38:58)
With season 4 of Torchwood recently debuting, we decided to look back at season 3; a five part series entitled Children of Earth.
3 on 3 NHL Arcade (39:17 – 49:35)
Developed by EA sports, this game is an arcade style hockey game that’s different from their usual sim style of games. The game is available on the Xbox Live Arcade and the PSN network.
Time again for another podcast. This week we reflect back on the first season of Game of Thrones, take a look at the new PC indie game Jamestown: Legend Of The Lost Colony and head to the movies to check out Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
We looked at this HBO series a few episodes ago not long after it had began. Now that the first season has concluded, we return to the show to see what everyone thought of the first ten episodes.
Jamestown: Legend Of The Lost Colony (17:58 – 29:48)
Developed by Final Form games, Jamestown is a top down vertical shooter. The game is currently only available for the PC and can be purchased through Steam.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon ( 29:59 – 54:05)
The Transformers return with their third live action film. Michael Bay also returns to direct in what he claims will be his final time with the series. Check out our review to see if he leaves the series on a high note.
Hector: Badge of Carnage is an episodic point-and-click adventure game brought to us by Telltale Games. You play as Hector, a detective acting as a negotiator during a hostage crisis. The first episode, We Negotiate with Terrorists, is available now for Mac and PC with the second and third episode scheduled for release this fall.
Thor (16:06 – 40:26)
Thor is the latest Marvel comic to get the big screen treatment as they get ready for next year’s release of The Avengers. The story sees Thor banished from his home on Asgard by his father Odin to Earth. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film has a large ensemble cast including Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins.
