    This week we discuss the new downloadable game Burnout Crash and we look at some of the fall TV shows debuting this year including Ringer, Person of Interest and Terra Nova.

    Burnout Crash (01:06 – 13:19)

    Burnout Crash is a downloadable game available for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. This game focuses exclusively on the crash mode made famous in previous iterations of the Burnout franchise.

    Fall TV (13:39 – 43:31)

    Well it’s that time of year when everyone’s PVRs are overflowing with all kinds of new TV. Vern & Bill take a look at the the gluttonous amount of new shows as well as some that are returning, and even some that are wrapping up their summer seasons. Some of the shows we look at include Ringer, Terra Nova, Person of Interest, 2 Broke Girls, Fringe, and Haven.


  2. Fringe – Tron – Skyline – Ep 98 – You’ve got some Kardashian on your shoe…

    A review of Skyline on this week's podcast

    On this week’s podcast we take a look at the first half of Fringe’s third season and a pair of movies. The first film is 1982′s Tron and the recent theatrical release, Skyline.

    Fringe Season 3 (01:33 – 11:51)

    With Fringe heading into the Christmas break, we decided to take a look back at the first half of Season 3. Take a listen to see what we thought of this season so far and how we think the rest of the season may play out. Season 3 resumes on Friday January 21.

    Tron (12:32 – 32:35)

    With Tron Legacy hitting theaters this weekend, we decided to go back and revisit the 1982 original film. Starring Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, the film sees Kevin Flynn (Bridges) being abducted into the Master Control computer system to be forced to participate in numerous video games.

    Skyline (32:55 – 53:35)

    Produced and directed by the Brothers Strause, Skyline is a story about several people trapped in an apartment complex while aliens have descended on numerous cities and started making a general mess of things. The two Strause brothers, normally known for their special effects work, were able to produce this film for only 10 million dollars. Check out our review to see if their money was well spent.


  3. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse – Fall TV – Spiderman – Ep 87 – Sans Kilt

    In this episode of the podcast we review the new DC direct to DVD release, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. We also take a look at a number of new and returning TV shows. Plus we also review Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions for the Xbox 360.

    Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (00:58 – 12:18)

    DC has just released another direct to DVD animated feature. It’s a sequel to their other DVD film Superman/Batman Public Enemies, which we had reviewed back in episode #37.

    New Fall TV (12:39 – 37:52)

    Vern and Bill take a look a number of new shows that have premiered or returned for the fall TV season. We take a look at new comers Nikita, Hawaii Five-0, The Event, and Boardwalk Empire plus take a look at the third season premiere of Fringe. We also touch on last week’s launch of Netflix in Canada.

    Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions (38:05 -58:31)

    The four of us also take a look at the new game Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions where the player gets to play the role of four different Spidermen from four different dimensions. It’s available on just about every platform but we looked at it on the Xbox 360.
