    The Life and Times of Tim (01:05 – 12:32)

    The Life and Times of Tim is an animated series about Tim, an office worker living with his girlfriend in New York City. The show is currently in the middle of its third season on HBO.

    Warrior (12:49 – 30:57)

    Warrior tells the story of two brothers who both compete in the world of mixed martial arts. Starring Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy and Jennifer Morrison the film was released on DVD and BluRay back in December 2011.


  2. Moneyball – Papa’s Burgeria – EvilQuest – Ep 153

    On this week’s podcast we take a look at the DVD release of Moneyball as well as a couple of indie games, Papa’s Burgeria and EvilQuest.

    Moneyball (01:37 – 11:11)

    Based on the book of the same time, Moneyball is the true story of the Oakland A’s attempt to reinvent the game of baseball after their star players move on to other teams all while contending with one of the league’s smallest budgets. Directed by Bennett Miller and starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, the film is available on DVD and BluRay as of January 10.

    Papa’s Burgeria (11:26 – 16:23)

    Developed by Flipline Studios, Papa’s Burgeria is a time management game where you manage, as you may be quick to guess, a burgeria. Kevin took a look at this on the Blackberry Playbook but you can also check out the flash version of the game at the FlipLine Studios website.

    EvilQuest (16:24 – 31:51)

    Developed by Chaosoft Games, Evilquest is a throwback to old school RPG style game. The game is available exclusively in the Xbox Indie Games section for 80 MS points.


  3. The Muppets – Red Tie Miner – Attack the Block – Ep 148 – Kabooshee

    On this week’s podcast, we take a look at a pair of movies, The Muppets and Attack the Block as well as an indie game on the Xbox Live Arcade, Red Tie Miner.

    The Muppets (01:19 – 15:25)

    The Muppets have returned with their first theatrical release in twelve years. This time the gang reunites to buy back the abandoned Muppet Theater. The film stars Amy Adams and Jason Segel who also wrote the movie.

    Red Tie Miner (15:41 – 24:50)

    Red Tie Miner is a new indie release on the Xbox Live Arcade that involves mining…with a red tie. Well you mine with a pick-axe, you’re just wearing the tie. Anywho, the game is developed and published by Maximinus games in France and is available now for 80 MS points.

    Attack the Block (25:07 – 38:41)

    As a group of kids in South London wrap up a routine mugging, they are attacked by a small creature who they chase down and kill. Said creature turns out to be an alien who’s fallen from the sky and his co-travellers aren’t very impressed by this turn of events to say the least. The film is the directorial debut from Jim Cornish and is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.


  4. Conan the Barbarian – DC Universe Online – Ep 147 – Charlie Horse

    This week we sit down to discuss the MMORPG, and now free DC Universe Online as well as the DVD release of Conan the Barbarian.

    Conan the Barbarian (01:17 – 17:10)

    This 2011 film is the latest in a long running franchise of numerous comic books and two previous films. The film stars Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) in the title role along with Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan and Ron Perlman. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 22.

    DC Universe Online (17:26 – 52:09)

    Developed by Sony Online Entertainment, DC Universe is an MMORPG which puts you, as you might have guessed, in the universe of the DC characters. The game was originally released for PC and PS3 back in January of this year, but has recently changed from a subscription service to become free to play.
