On the podcast this week we take a look at Dead Rising 2 on the Xbox 360, the straight to DVD flick The Experiment and the Vertigo comic series American Vampire.
Dead Rising 2 (01:32 – 20:42)
Capcom and Blue Castle have teamed up to deliver a new game to not only quench your thirst of killing zombies, but to do so by tying chainsaws to a canoe paddle. This time you play as Chuck Greene, motocross star extraordinaire who’s post-zombie-attacks career finds him working on a game show killing zombies for sport. But things fall apart and it’s up to you find survivors, protect your daughter and kill lots o’ zombies. We previously looked at the first game, a couple of times, and recently also looked at the prequel to this game, Case Zero. Give a listen to see how this one matches up.
The Experiment (21:09 – 33:54)
Directed by Paul Scheuring, The Experiment is a direct to DVD film released in September 2010 starring Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker. The story involves twenty six men signing up to participate in an experiment in which they are taken to a prison for fourteen days with some acting as guards and the others in the role as prisoners. The film examines how, given the proper circumstances, people will react to being granted authority and how others will react when they are forced to fall in line. Check out our review to see how it fares.
American Vampire (34:13 – 40:36)
Andrew checks in with this review of a new comic book series written by Stephen King and Scott Snyder. Published by Vertigo, the story looks at vampires during their time through decades of American history. The series started back in March of this year and currently published five issues.</itunes:summary>

This week on the podcast we take a look at a new Xbox 360 exclusive, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero and a new film written, directed and produced by Robert Rodriguez, Machete.
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (01:15 – 22:24)
Capcom has done something a bit different in anticipation of the release of Dead Rising 2. They’ve released a prologue downloadable game, Case Zero, exclusively to the Xbox Live Marketplace for a mere 400 points. Taking place three years before the events of Dead Rising 2, the game introduces us to a new character Chuck Greene as he tries to come up with new and creative ways to eliminate any zombies in this path.
Machete (22:38 – 44:37)
And speaking of unique and interesting ways of killing things, we all checked out a new film released last week to theaters, Machete. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, Machete was originally just a fake trailer that accompanied Grindhouse during it’s theatrical run in 2007. It’s since been turned into a full feature release with an ensemble cast including Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba and Steven Seagal. Check out our reviews to hear what we thought.</itunes:summary>
