This week we look at the new film in a franchise from the 1980′s and a sequel to a game that we declared on of our all time favorites.
Predators (01:18 – 25:21)
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a proper Predator’s film, excluding ones that also contained Aliens. But Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios has resurrected the franchise and has brought us a third film starring Adrien Brody and Laurence Fishburne. We got a chance to catch the theatrical release and discussed how well it lives up to the 1987 original film.
Crackdown 2 (25:50 – 60:10)
We also look at the sequel to one of our all time favorite Xbox 360 games, Crackdown. Developed by Ruffian Games, this one treads on a lot of the same ground as the original but also offers some new features as well. We have a pretty in depth discussion covering the single player as well as the co-op multiplayer modes and see if it earns your $70.
So here’s our final episode for 2009. In this episode we take a look back at the past year and discuss our favorite video games, movies, TV shows and other things that came across our path. We also save a special section to reflect on those other offerings that made us made us a little crazy; the worst of the past year. We also glance ahead to some things we’re looking forward to in 2010.
Games of 2009 (01:27 – 34:32)
Movies of 2009 (34:54 – 51:01)
Comics, TV and plus a look ahead to 2010 (51:10 – 65:30)

In case you’ve been under a rock for the last couple of days, E3 has kicked off this week and the interwebs have exploded with tons of trailers for upcoming games. So we’re going to try to comb through the best and give our thoughts over the next couple of days.
Alan Wake
It seems like we’ve been hearing about this game forever and it looks like it’s getting ever so close to becoming a reality. They seem to be going for a rich cinematic experience and I’m not sure if I want to play it or just sit back and watch it. Anyway, here’s hoping we’re not still anticipating it at E3 2010.
Crackdown 2
We all only recently got on the Crackdown bandwagon and I think its safe to say we’re pretty giddy at the prospect of more. Not much in terms of gameplay in this one or even a confirmed release date yet.
Shadow Complex
This is neat looking side-scroller that’s coming out for the Xbox Live Arcade later this year. It really seems to be bending the perceptions of how a 2D scroller normally performs and could be another strong title on the Live Arcade.
The Beatles: Rock Band
We talked about this a few shows back and I personally wasn’t jumping up and down with excitement. But I gotta admit the visuals look great and apparently it will come with three microphones so you’ll be able to harmonies with your friends. Which could be fun and disastrous all at the same time.
Here we are again with another episode. This week we have a an older Xbox 360 game for an Out of the Bin segment, a return look at Deadpool’s series and we continue looking at the current TV season finales.
Out of the Bin – Crackdown
Deadpool: Suicide Kings Issue # 2
and a look at the Fringe season finale
