    On this week’s episode we take a look at a pair of new games on the Xbox Live Arcade, Sine Mora and Rayman 3 HD. Plus we also discuss a number of new and returning TV shows such as Game of Thrones, The Killing and The Walking Dead.

    Sine Mora (01:43 – 13:58)

    Sine Mora is a side scrolling shooter developed by Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture. The game is currently available exclusively on the Xbox Live Arcade.

    Rayman 3 HD (14:31 – 28:13)

    Originally released about nine years ago, Rayman 3 HD is a re-release for the current generation of consoles. It’s available on the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

    TV Talk (28:30 – 62:44)

    We wrap up with a discussion of what TV shows we’ve been watching lately including Game of Thrones and The Killing, both of which recently returned for their second seasons. We also share our thoughts on the recent season finale for The Walking Dead, plus we look at a whole bunch of other new shows we’ve been looking at including Alcatraz, Touch, Awake, Republic of Doyle, Terriers and Lights Out.

     On the podcast this week we take a trial run with The Old Republic and sit down to wacth at a pair of new DVD releases, Roadie and Take Shelter.

    EA and Bioware recently had a free weekend for people to check out their Star Wars based MMORPG, The Old Republic. We recently took advantage of this free weekend to try the game out. And by we, I mean one of us. We’ll explain why in the review.

    Roadie (15:44 – 22:47)

    After 20 years on the road as a roadie with Blue Oyster Cult, Jimmy finds himself trying to deal with life off the road. The film was released on DVD on March 20.

    Take Shelter (22:48 – 43:37)

    Michael Shannon plays a man who is suddenly plagued with visions and dreams of an oncoming natural disaster and begins building a storm shelter in order to protect his family. The film was released on DVD on February 14.

    On episode 163, we have a look at a trio of new games for both the PC and Xbox 360, New Yankee in King Arthur’s CourtI Am Alive and Shoot Many Robots.

    New Yankee in King Arthur’s Court (01:19 – 14:01)

    New Yankee in King Arthur’s Court is a time management strategy game that finds your character zapped back in time to work for King Arthur. You’re tasked with growing crops, mining and other jobs to keep your camp up and running. The game was developed by Alawar Games who have a one hour free demo available for download on their website.

    I Am Alive (14:16 – 33:52)

    I Am Alive is a third person survival horror game where you make your way through your home city after a disaster has left the city in ruins. Developed by Darkworks and Ubisoft, the game is available for download on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

    Shoot Many Robots (34:08 – 46:09)

    Developed by Demiurge Studios, Shoot Many Robots is 2D side scrolling game where you shoot, as you may have guessed, many robots. We looked at the game on the Xbox 360 but it is also available for download on the PlayStation Network and is scheduled for release soon on the PC.


  4. Nitronic Rush – Vessel – Ep 162 – Welcome Back

    Developed by Team Nitronic, Nitronic Rush is a free PC racing game very similar to San Francisco Rush. You can download a copy of the game (along with the game’s soundtrack) at their official website.

    Vessel (17:05 – 31:17)

    Developed by Strange Loop Games, Vessel is a side scrolling game where you control various elements (like water) to solve puzzles. The game is available on Steam or on the Strange Loop Games website. The game has also been announced  for the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network at a future date.
