This week on the podcast we look at Just Cause 2 whose demo we looked at a couple of episodes ago and we look at a new DVD release, The Men Who Stare at Goats. I also report on some of the happenings of last weekend’s Toronto Comic Con.
Just Cause 2 (01:06 – 28:28)
The Men Who Stare at Goats (29:02 - 40:28)
A report from Toronto Comic Con 2010 (40:41 – 57:02)
Kev mentioned in the show about videos he had found online for Just Cause 2. Well I found this one which is pretty cool in itself but has a pretty big easter egg if you’re a Lost fan.
We got an opportunity to speak with David Richmond-Peck (Georgie Sutton on V) at this weekend’s 2010 Toronto Comic Con. He let us in on what we could expect on tonight’s return of V and reflected on the social commentary and themes presented on the show. As well he touched on the roles and applications of social media for actors and fans in television today.
Had a great time this past weekend at Wizard World’s 2010 Toronto Comic Con. Below are some photos from the past three days including panels featuring cast members of Caprica and Battlestar Galactica. As well, author Max Brooks spoke regarding his books and upcoming comic book series. Check back in the next few days for more videos and interviews. And check out this week’s podcast from more from Toronto Comic Con.
Back on a previous show, we discussed at length, this sneak peek at some footage for the upcoming Predators film. Well, since then there’s also been a proper trailer released which I’m thinking looks like a pile of fun.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
I haven’t checked out the comic book series this is based on so I admittedly didn’t have much of a clue about this going in. That said this looks like it could be pretty cool. I’m a big fan of Edgar Wright so I’m always interested in what he’s doing. Plus it looks like we might get Michael Cera actually playing a different character. And if all else fails, I can just have fun spotting all the Toronto landmarks.
Tron Legacy
I wasn’t a big fan of Tron when I originally saw in the theater way back when. But I gave it a re-watch recently and I gotta admit the older version of me enjoys it much more. And this new trailer for the sequel? It looks pretty fucking sweet!
