So after what feels like an endless amount of hype, we’re getting the first teaser trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar which comes out this Christmas. And along with the hype comes the idea that is will be like nothing we’re ever seen before and minds will be blown and the all the hungry will be fed and cancer will be cured. So is it that good? Well no but then I wonder if anything would have lived up to the several years of anticipation and the collective hyperbole of the blogosphere. That being said, I did get a chance to see this on a proper movie screen yesterday and it does look pretty damn good. I also suspect that since this is only a teaser that there is much more to see in the final finished product.
The Wolfman
We also have a peak at a trailer for The Wolfman with Benicio Del Toro. I’m curious to see this one although it was also recently announced that it was being delayed until February so hopefully that doesn’t reflect on the film itself.
Inception
The teaser trailer for Inception has also just come out today. Its Christopher Nolan’s follow up to the Dark Knight with Leonardo DiCaprio and its due out next summer. The trailer doesn’t show much in way of story and plot but it does have some pretty striking visuals and it looks like a pretty strong cast.
