Thirst - Red Band Trailer

OK, so two things. If you haven’t seen Old Boy before, then get yee to the video store! And while you’re there, you might as well grab a copy of the Host. Thirst brings together the director of the former and the star of the latter. Even though there’s been a slew of vampire movies lately, this looks like a really unique take on the genre. I’m not quite so sure about what the whole foot licking scene is all about but hey we’ll see where it goes.

Battlestar Galactica – The Plan

Have you ever dropped someone off at the airport and said your tearful goodbyes only to find out the flights been delayed several hours and they’re not really leaving. Yeah, that’s about where I am with BSG. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy its still here but I’ve already made my peace with its departure. And I’m getting weary that it’ll crash on my couch and become some unwanted house guest. With that said, I’m really looking forward to this! It looks like a complete re-telling of the first couple of seasons but from the cylons point of view. That, and I’m totally excitied at the prospect of Dean Stockwell in full on evil-humanity-must-die mode for 2 hours.

It Might Get Loud

I just missed catching this last year at the Toronto film festival so I’m happy to hear its getting a proper release this August. This documentary takes a look at three different guitarists spanning the last 40 years and sticks them in a room together to see what happens. Hopefully this will get a wide theatrical release as I suspect this will be a good one to catch in a theatrical environment.
